Dog Training

Our programs are designed to bring about long term behavior change by facilitating a more positive and cohesive relationship between you and your dog. As the routines and habits of the household inevitably impact your dog’s behavior, these programs are specifically focused on helping you cultivate and implement new strategies into your everyday life and improve your overall communication with your dog.

These programs can be utilized individually or blended together into a hybrid model.

In-Home Training -

Tri- Weekly - this program takes place in your home 3 days a week, for a minimum of three weeks.  Each session is one hour long, with the first two sessions dedicated to your dog. The third day each week is a lesson with you and ensures that you and your dog are communicating effectively. This program is best suited for basic obedience training, with a focus on 3-4 core skills.  This program is $225 per week, and includes after program support including troubleshooting phone calls and emails.

Weekly Sessions - One hour training sessions that may include; introducing new concepts to your dog, practicing targeted strategies to address specific behavioral struggles, troubleshooting problem areas, and establishing specific steps to reach your goals. $75/session

Board and Train - In this program your dog comes to live with me Monday through Friday for three consecutive weeks.  I will work with your dog each day in my home and eventually in nearby parks and pet friendly businesses (depending on your goals). Each Friday, we will meet for the weekly lesson, to get you up to date on the new skills your dog has learned that week.  This program is appropriate for addressing moderate behavior concerns such as leash reactivity, or for more intensive obedience training covering approximately 6 skills (depending on your goals). This program costs $1530 and includes 3 after program in-home lessons, in addition to troubleshooting phone calls, emails.

Day Camp - Bring your dog for a full or half day at your trainer’s home to learn new skills, socialize with other dogs (when appropriate) and benefit from constructive outlets for physical and mental energy.  This program is intended to facilitate structured play between dogs, build good household habits (including brief periods of being kenneled), and the introduction of basic obedience skills.

AKC Canine Good Citizen

The American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen test is designed to show off your pup’s hard earned obedience and social skills. This test is comprised of 10 specific tasks that must be completed to pass and receive the “CGC” designation after your dog’s name. Dog’s do no have to be purebred to be eligible, but must be registered with the AKC in some capacity for the certification to be recorded. As an approved evaluator, Hannah can help prepare you and your pup for testing and administer the test. This title is appropriate for all dogs and handlers that are seeking to improve and demonstrate their competence in functional public skills. As many dog therapy organizations require this test (or comparable testing) to be eligible for public visitations, this can be a great place to start for any dog and handler pairs that have an interest in therapy work. Pricing varies based on format, please inquire for more details.
